NuRelm was founded in 1999 as a company that sought to provide Web sites with a unique combination of artistic design, powerful technology, and ease-of-use. While most consulting firms required compromises, NuRelm sites were visually-stunning, functionally advanced, and included the capability of updating without technical expertise.
After growing steadily and realizing that more capital was necessary to expand into the national market, NuRelm began to seek out investors and in March of 2001, officially relocated from Austin, Texas to Uniontown, Pennsylvania. This move proved very favorable for the company and its founders as NuRelm quickly topped the one-million dollar mark in investments from local economic development agencies and venture capitalists, and the southwestern Pennsylvania location provided the atmosphere and pace of life that the founders preferred.
The following month, NuRelm released its second version of its content management software, NuContent, which was gaining local and national recognition as a top product for scalability, flexibility, and ease-of-use. The company continued to bundle its software with services and the services of its partner network, which had expanded to include over thirty companies.
Success continued through the next few years as the third version of NuContent was released, and shortly thereafter, NuRelm began developing its second key product, Osmosis learning management software.
NuRelm has continued to find new channels for growth, shifting its strategy to providing peripheral services such as Web hosting and bundling them with NuContent to offer NuHost, which makes high-quality content management more affordable, and renewing its focus on the public sector by obtaining several federal certifications.
